Why are Geico commercials so stupid and why don't they make any sense?

Insurance isn't glamorous,funny, or sentimentally appealing. The commercials try to overcome that by catching your attention with humor. Most insurance commercials are unrelated to the product because selling something that deals with death is one hell of a challenge.
